GUFC #freedom2play Grassroots Coaches Courses and Camps in Namibia

The second part of the #freedom2play campaign in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation was a great success. In Windhoek and Walvis Bay we were able to hand over the official NFA licence to 55 participants of the 5-day Grassroots Coaches course. The cooperation with the association was excellently coordinated by Diina Shituula. This training was another big step towards promoting football at grassroots level,” said NFA Women’s Football Director and Instructor Jacqueline Shipanga.

Our ambassador Collin Benjamin was also part of the training team, as was Arnold Subeb. In Walvis Bay we were supported by the Playtime Namibia Trust under the leadership of Sandro de Gouveia and Alex Kirov. They organised #freedom2play camp days for 300 kids and a final festival in November. Here, some of the newly trained coaches were also involved. The start was a success, now we have to convince our partners and supporters to support this campaign in 2022 and to expand it.
