At the congress of the 50th anniversary of the national association of horticulture, landscaping and sports ground construction (Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau e.V./BGL), our chairman Fredi Bobic and our general secretary Rainer Hahn signed the charter in the presence of BGL president August Forster.
With the charter „Zukunft Stadt und Grün“, supporters (DOSB, NABU, IKEA etc.) show how essential living green spaces are for society as well as the social, ecological and economic benefits and added value of a sustainable urban development.
This is what the charter stands for: reduction of the consequences of climate change, promotion of health, securing of social functions, increasing location quality, protection of soil, water and air, conservation of biodiversity, promotion of research in the field of construction and vegetation technology as well as creating legal and fiscal incentives.
